Welcome to Muriel Moore Solicitors
About Muriel
Muriel is a public interest law solicitor, her practice rooted in a commitment to human rights. She has worked extensively with individuals and families with special needs to promote their interests and secure their rights and entitlements vis-à-vis service providers and Government Departments. She has a special interest in protecting the rights of vulnerable people to make their own decisions and obtain the services they need to live a full and rewarding life. Muriel has demonstrated courage to take on the establishment, challenge the status quo and be an advocate for change.
Throughout her career spanning almost 20 years in the financial services and public sector industries Muriel has provided bespoke legal advice and services to private and institutional clients. She provides clear, solution focussed advice and supports clients through the legal process, always focusing on the rights of the person, at the centre of a given situation.
Whether it’s advocating for clients’ rights vis-à-vis service providers or defending the vulnerable in judicial review, Muriel provides clear, solution-focused guidance with empathy and professionalism. The new Assisted Decision-Making legislation and systems can be daunting, and at times seem difficult to navigate; we work with individuals and families to help secure their rights, and to support them to navigate what can appear to be a complex legal system.
Muriel is qualified to defend human rights cases before national and international courts, invoking Irish and international human rights mechanisms before the High Court and Supreme Court, the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Since commencement of the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act in April 2023, she has specialised in decision-making support under the Assisted Decision-Making Act.
